Dungeons and Dragons

read the artical

Most of the time when someone kills himself or herself, it’s not for one reason only. "I ran my hand along their spines, recognizing some but unable to recognize a couple towards the top." The books were kicked away, you wont ever really know if those books were at the top in the first place. And towards the top, meaning there were books on top of the Dungeons and Dragons books. You cant just pick two books and claim they are more responsible than the rest. You could have looked into the other books also, even if you did recognize them. "I set out to learn as much as I could about Dungeons and why my Billy had chosen those books to kill himself with" As you said before, these weren't the only books he killed himself with.

A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.

And it might possible be a cult, I've never played or watched someone play. It could also be that you thought it was a cult, just to put the blame on something else, for your sons suicide.

Does your child spend excessive amounts of time with friends unsupervised indoors?
Just because they are indoors with friends does not mean they will kill themselves. When you get older you aren’t going to be outside as much as when you were a kid. Playing soccer in the street and riding your bike gets old after so long. And there are times where I feel like sitting down and doing nothing, unsupervised… ooh shame on me.

Does he question the rules and commands you lay down as a parent?
First things first… Just because the game is D&D, doesn’t mean girls don’t play it either, its not just guys you should be worried about. And how could questioning rules and commands be bad. It’s a good thing if they do that.

Are his grades slipping of late?
Everyone has their moments. Some more than others. And at the end of a school year, no one wants to do work. It really depends on what part of the school year is. At the beginning or the end of a school year is when I personally slip a bit. Not much at the beginning, but a little bit because I’m getting used to everything. Then at the end a little bit also because it’s the end of school and I feel like going home and not going back until school starts again. And that’s how most people are.

“Children always listen to their parents as long as they know they love them and have their best interests at heart. With a soft voice but stern hand, you can make a difference in your child's life.”
No matter how you say that, it will sound cheesy. Most kids do the exact oppisite of what their parents say. “Don’t touch the stove, its hot” “well how hot?” then they test it.

You need to put more information into the article, right now its bias.
